So I was 35 weeks on Wednesday. I have weekly u/s and NST. At 32 weeks my fluid had dropped down to 9cm. Stayed there until 35 weeks. So this past wednesday it was at 7.5cm. Baby looks great tho. At 34 weeks he was measuring in the 75th percentile. The NST have all looked good. The only concern is the amniotic fluid. I see a high risk Dr. And a regular OB. The high risk Dr. Doesnt deliver. He stated.that if my fluid level went inferir 5 they would be taking the baby. And from now on have my bags packed when i come in. He also is having me stop taking my baby aspirin next Tuesday. I discussed with my OB What my chances.of having a VBAC where. She said if it my fluid level drops again. They would check me at that time. And if i was 3-4 cm. Dilated they would let me try. But if not it was a repeat c-csection. I feel like contraction have picked up over the past 2 weeks. O have BH and then i also have the crampy type of contractions. Which are alot more intense. When i am up on my feet alot of definetly have alot of pressure. The other thing i have noticed, and it may not have anything to do with it. But i have actually been having a BM everyday. Where as before it was maybe every 3. So has anyone ever had any experience with low amniotic fluid and having a VBAC? Obviously i just want him to be here safely and if that means a c-section then that is fine. Thanks ladies.

Re: low amniotic fluid, chances of vbac looking slimmer. ???
I think there worrying about nothing at this point.
#1 thing I'd suggest is HYDRATE drink at least 92 oz of non-juice/soda liquid a day and as much as possible keep your feet up. this should help get your AFI up or at least stabilize it.
#2 until/unless your levels are under 5 I would refuse to do anything, provided there are no other issues. there is no reason to rush into a RCS/induction just because your AFI is on the lower end of normal.
Why are you seeing a high risk OB? because that may change my opinion.

This is a good post to read about AFI (it's a copy and paste of the original post, which isn't online anymore): https://misskalypso.wordpress.com/2010/09/17/low-amniotic-fluid-levels-time-to-panic/
I think low AFI with a baby who looks good isn't something to worry too much about, or a reason to have a RCS. Good luck!
