How are the May/June babies sleeping at night?

Baby Natalie naps great during the day whether it's on her tummy (supervised), on our chests or in the bouncer. At night, she won't sleep on her back more than a few minutes so since day one she has been sleeping on my chest at night. I love the cuddle time but I miss my bed and sleeping next to MH. Someone mentioned silent reflux. Anyone else's LO not sleeping on back at night?

    Mine doesn't sleep unless she is in my arms either

    Do you have the Fisher Price Rock N Play? My LO sleeps in that at night and will usually go 3-4 hours of sleeping at a time. She hates sleeping flat on her back so the incline of the Rock N Play is great!

    That's pretty normal/common for such a new baby. Do you swaddle her? A lot of newborns like to feel really secure, which is why they like to sleep in our arms/on our chests/etc. If you swaddle her tightly, let her fall asleep in your arms, and then put her down you may notice she sleeps better on her back. 

    But don't worry about good or bad habits at this point; just get sleep how/when you can. With my DS, he slept his first many weeks in my arms, often on the couch. But he transitioned to his crib really well, loved to be swaddled, and was sleeping thru the night pretty early on.

    I suggest the rock n play as well! our little guy sleeps wonderfully 3 to 5 hour stretches.I also recommend getting a soothing sound animal our little one loves it.

    We have the rock n play and it isn't working. Will try it during the day to ease her into it. She hates having her arms swaddled which causes her to jerk herself awake. Will see how the next few nights go. Thanks ladies!

    This.  Swaddle tightly and put in the rock n play.  Works great for us!

    DD born 6.13.11 at 37w5d

    DS born 5.23.12 at 36w5d

    BFP 6.9.13|heartbeat of 128bpm 7weeks|7.23.13 ultrasound revealed no heartbeat|natural m/c and d&c 7.25.13

    DS born 5.20.14 at 38 weeks
