Sat Show & Tell (S-SAT)

Here we can post about the things we make to keep our hands busy while our arms are empty. Whether it's knitting, crocheting, quilting, etc... doens't matter. It can be in-progress, completed, or just started. It can be something you saw on pinterest that you'd LOVE to do but probably never will (you know we all have those!). You don't have to be crafty to post... basically there aren't many rules.

    I've spent the past week outlining letters for the subway roll, and I was just really unhappy with it.  Some of the letters were small, and I knew it wasn't going to have the crisp look I wanted.

    After googling for some other ideas I decided that I would create a poster and try and decoupage it.  I was able to get one printed up for $2.14 at Staples.

    I've applied a coat of Modge Podge, and it's drying, but looks wrinkly, so I'm guessing I'm going to have to get creative  I've heard of people trying to lightly sand the wrinkles and use some stain in them to get a "rustic" look.  Also need to paint out the edges black.

    I also finally got the map NMScubaGirl got me in the Christmas exchange on the wall, as well as marked out the location for two others.  The two others should be here Monday, so hopefully my foyer will be looking more put together by next weekend.

    Beta's on Friday, so I suspect I'll be doing lots of other random projects this week to keep my mind busy.

    Aegis - nice!!  Good luck on Friday!!

    DH and I are watching euro cup soccer, there will be vegetable garden weeding later, and my main goal for this weekend is to dye this yarn for a special pair of socks!

    4/28/11 IUI#1 = BFP!(5/25), EDD 2/2/12 - m/c 5w3d
    7/3, 7/31, 9/25 - IUI#2-4=BFN
    IVF#1 - 1 blast = BFP!! (12/30), EDD 9/9/12, confirmed c/p 4w2d
    FET#1 3/2/12 - 2 blasts =BFP!! EDD 11/18/12, us#1 = twins! Confirmed m/c 5w6d
    4/20-surprise BFP and another c/p 4w2d
    FET#2 7/16/12 - 2 blasts = BFN
    FET#3 8/20/12 - 1 blast - BFP!! Beta #1-2=177, 354
    1st u/s 5w6d, one beautiful little HB :), 2nd u/s 146bpm
    baby girl born 5/10/13

    IVF#2 8/19/15 - cancelled due to cysts
    IVF#2 take two 10/2015 - 5 blasts frozen
    FET#4 12/11/2015 - BFN - 4 blasts remaining
    FET#5 2/18/16 - BFP!!!  Beta1-3, 126, 250, 745!!

    This is a terrible picture, but this is the brick patio that DH and I have been working on building for the last couple weeks. It's about 12'x21', and I took the pic before DH finished the stairs up to the second level, so it looks very unfinished. The furniture was my birthday present. :) My project for tomorrow is getting flowers and pots/planters to make it a nice backyard hangout.
