When did your MD set your induction date?

I'm now 39 weeks and I do have a few days left. I'm sure (or at least positively thinking so) that baby will come on her own! However, just out of curiosity.. when did your MD schedule your induction date? This upcoming Tuesday will be my last appointment and I wonder if the subject will be broached then or if they give you a call once you hit 40.

At my appt. on Wednesday I was 39w5d and nothing was said about inducing. All she mentioned was that I would have an u/s and non-stress test at my next appt. when I'll be 40w5d. I'm guessing she's holding off on any induction until she sees how baby is doing from the u/s.

With my first, my doctor would not even discuss induction until I was over 41 weeks. She believed, as do I, that babies should come when they're ready. She had me do a NST and an U/S to make sure everything was ok. I went in for induction when I was 41 weeks 5 days.

This time around I MUST go in for induction at exactly 41 weeks, because that's the hospital's VBAC rule. So, on 6/18, I'll be headed in, unless I can get baby moving sooner.

They scheduled it today. I'm 37 weeks 1 day. They scheduled it for 6/25. I'll be 39 weeks 4 days. The only reason I'm being induced is because of chronic high BP. I've been getting weekly NST's since 32 weeks.

I had an NST at 40w1d and they set my induction for 41w.

June 20th, which is exactly one week after my edd. I'm crossing my fingers she decides to come before that.

At my 39 wk appt we were told to make another appt at 40wks.

When I came for the 40 wks, we scheduled an induction!

I'm scheduling on Monday, at my 39 week appt. I have some complications and they don't want me going past my due date. So I'm guessing the induction will be scheduled for right around 40 weeks. I didn't have to be induced with my first, so I'm hoping labor begins naturally this week.

My due date is the 19th and my dr will induce me that day, at the latest, due to my high bp.

My ob set it for 41 weeks, I had asked awhile ago, but it wasn't until yesterday (my last appt) that she set it in stone.

I had my last appointment yesterday at 39 weeks 4days and she gave me options to induce Monday (exactly 40 weeks) thursday (40w3d) or saturday (40w5d) the days she is on call next week. Originally she had said I would have the option to induce after my due date and up until 42 weeks, but she had mentioned earlier in pregnancy that I have a small pelvis and latley she has been making comments about the size of the baby. I think she is just trying to prevent the possibility of a C-section because of thoes things. I decided to schedual an induction for thursday to give the baby a little more time to come on her own. Right now I'm sitting at 1.5 cm dilated and 80% effaced and my cervix is "much lower than it was last week" so hopefully thoese are signs she might have her own birthday in mind.

Mine said she'll schedule at my 40 week appt which is Monday. She'll induce either the 18th or 20th. I'm due on June 10th. I really hope LO comes this weekend but I'm not thinking it will.

We discussed at my last appointment for 40w3d (june 26th), if he doesn't come on his own before that time.

Same for me as for cchill01 and j.d gal. If I go late, they'll do a NST and ultrasound at 41 weeks, and if things are still going well let me go almost another week before induction. That means if everything continues to go well yet he doesn't come on his own, I'd likely be induced July 2nd or 3rd (my due date is June 20). And that's fine with me. I'm seeing CNMs, who tend to be more non-interventionalist, and have been low risk the whole pregnancy up to now.

I scheduled my 41 wk appointment and the induction during my 40 week appointment. My induction is scheduled for 10 days past my EDD.

39w1d is induction date bc of my GD, being on insulin 4x a day, and now high BP.

My EDD based on my LMP is June 17, although my ultrasounds both said June 23. My OB never changed by EDD because it was only a 6 day difference and not 7. That being said, at my appointment last week, she acknowledged the difference and said she wouldn't consider me overdue until after June 23, but won't let me go longer than a week after that (she said that she'd give me a fair shot at going into labour on my own and suspects I'll need the extra time). A patient in her practice lost a baby between 41 and 42 weeks so her policy is not to go past 41 weeks.
