Just a follow up to my post from earlier this week about LO turning one, and it not being the miracle I had hoped for in terms of sleep and eating.
On Tuesday, she started walking. And not just a couple of steps... 20 or 30 steps at a time. She spent the whole day practicing. That night, she slept the whole night in her crib. For the first time in her whole life.
On Wednesday, she learned to push up from the floor to standing. She spent the whole day practicing. That night, she slept the whole night her crib.
And then she slept the whole night in her crib again last night. I guess all of that groundwork we laid with NCSS and Dr. Sears really did work. She just had to be ready. I know that we'll have some regressions, but OH MY GOODNESS, does it feel good to get a whole night's sleep!!!
She also ate like half a pint of blueberries yesterday. She souldn't touch anything else, but I'll take my victories where I can get them.
Thanks to everyone for being so encouraging. You would think after a year of motherhood I would finally understand that kids will do everything in their own time and our job is just to enjoy the ride. This has been the most amazing week!!

Awsome! Congrats, glad you are finally getting some sleep!
But watch out with the blueberries! When DS was about 1 he discovered blueberries and loved them. What I didn't know was that they are a constipating food. I think even worse than bananas! He had such a hard time going poop after that he was almost crying the poor little guy.
So pace yourself with them.
