Here is my birth story:

My little guy made his grand entrance Tuesday, June 5th at 7:38pm. I had gone to the hospital Sunday night thinking my water had boke, but it hadn't. While there in triage I dialated from 2-5 cm's, 100% effeced (no real contractions that I could feel), so they kept me. But by Monday afternoon I had stopped progressing so they sent me home since I was only 36 weeks.

I woke up Tuesday morning about 4:45 to soaking wet undies and body pillow (glad I only ruined a cheapo target body pillow!). I was nervous that I was wrong again about my water breaking so I held off and tried to relax until I was more a less positive it was real this time. I called the hospital around 6:30 am and since I wasn't having contractions yet they said to come in, but make sure I eat and that it was no rush.

I sat in the hospital from 9am-530pm with no change in dialation. Tried every natural metod and nothing was helping at all, so I opted for pitocin, which I did NOT think I would do before I was actually put in the situation.

By 6 I was contracting pretty good, every 2 min, and handeling them pretty well. Got up to walk and they got really bad, shed a few tears, sucked it up and walked for just a few min. Came back and the nurse checked me and said O My God, you are 9, and 10 when contracting. Get ready to push in the next few contractions! This was the worst part, but only lasted a few min. They gave me a 1/2 dose of pain meds through my IV, I asked for the rest, but she said I could do it without. By now it was 7pm and I was pushing and they thought I was going to push a while so the nurse ended up delivering his head because the Dr.'s had stepped out and he was not coming slow!

Pushed for about 20 min and Silas arrived. Delivery was nothing like I expected it to be. So thrilled to have my baby boy home!!
