I had to act like a different person, had I listen to MIL's endless stories about herself and her life and her friends etc., made my baby girl suffer for 2 days and had to walk on egg shells but I'm still here so I guess I should be proud. No negative or rude comments were said so that helped a lot.

    Congrats for makin it out alive! and I bet there is a shirt out there already cause it seems like everyone has a hard time with the in laws. I haven't even met the boo's family in person so I can only imagine!

    I wish more people were like you; I am. I cannot be rude to someone's parents. It goes back to my mother's orders to respect my elders. DH, on the other hand, was never taught that lesson. Like so many other people, he won't think twice about ripping into my parents or someone their ages. It would make my life so much easier if he would just suck it up, let it go in one ear and out the other, like you did. Heck, that's what I do every time a holiday rolls around. Good for you!
