My doc doesn't like to go past 41 weeks. Though that falls on a Sunday. Haven't really broached the subject yet, but I'd hope for earlier rather than later...
With DD, they were going to wait 12 days but that was in England. Luckily I went into labor on my own after 7 days. With this LO, I have no idea. At my appt. this week (39w5d), I was still at just 1 cm but my Dr. didn't say a word about inducing. I'm happy to go to 41 weeks but probably not much past that.

I'm going to wait as long as the doctor lets me... I'm a little scared of induction. She's already told us, though, that she doesn't want me to go past 41 weeks, so I'll go with as late as she lets me. My due date is a Friday, so I don't know if she'll want to start that next Thursday, or if she'll be willing to wait until Monday... We'll have to see!
My due date according to my LMP is June 17th, but both ultrasounds came up to June 23rd. Since it was a 6 day difference and not 7, my OB wouldn't change the date. I've been going by, and telling everyone, June 23rd. At my appointment this week, DH asked the OB how she was feeling about the EDD and when she actually thought we'd have the baby. She acknowledged that she was going by June 17th as the due date, but the ultrasounds said June 23rd. SO, she won't consider me overdue until I'm past June 23rd. And then she'll give me a week and induce June 30th if he's not here by then. She didn't want me to worry that I wouldn't get a fair shot at going into labour on my own.
I wasn't really worried until she said that there were no signs of labour at all except that LO is starting to engage, she would almost guarantee I'd go to term or longer. I know that doesn't really MEAN anything and people go into labour all the time when there were no other signs just days before. But the thought of being overdue and going through an induction is not something I want to entertain!
My OB briefly mentioned that she would go 8 or 10 days over my DD. I'm due June 10 which is a sunday hence the 8 days or she would do 7. She seemed pretty open to the dates but I won't really want to past 41 weeks.
at 41 weeks they will induce me if thats what i want. If i haven't had this baby in two weeks from now, i might have them break my water at that point.
We're going to schedule an induction date tomorrow at my 39 week apt. I guess it's common procedure at my hospital. The induction will be for 41 weeks.

I believe my doctor will schedule the induction no later than my EDD (which according to their office is 6/19, and not 6/21 as my ticker says) due to chronic hypertension, although he might be willing to do it sometime next week. I am fine with this. Baby's head measured at 40w at the ultrasound on Monday, and his estimated weight was 8 pounds 1 ounce. All signs point to a nice sized baby, and I am getting anxious about something going wrong, so for my mental health I'd like to get him out between 39 and 40 weeks.
My doc originally scheduled me for induction today (40.5) but at my appointment on Tuesday I told her I'd rather wait, so long as me and the baby were doing well, and she agreed. I am now scheduled to go in next Tuesday (41.5) and I'm comfortable with that, although I've hoped all along for an intervention/epidural free birth. My baby is apparently super stubborn/cozy but I worry about things like placenta quality and meconium in the AF. I think talking to your doctor and establishing medical parameters for the safety of the baby is the best way to go.
my doctor likes to hope for the body going into it naturally, so obviously they won't let me go past 42 weeks, but other than that i've been told to hang in there.
