15 hours of contrax, hospital visit and no baby

Seriously I am a tad frustrated.

Monday am I woke with cramping and back pain and by 745 I had contrax, 5 mins apart for about 6 hours. I showered, sat on the ball, etc they got worse. After 6 horus they went to 4 mins apart. My plan is to go natural so that means I stay home as long as I can. I called the doc at 4 and they said to stay until I couldnt anymore. By 830 my doula was here and my friend and sister. Everything was getting stronger and worse, and I was starting to get tunnel vision and not care about anything else.

We left by 1030 and by midnight by contractions stopped at the hospital. My doula said that happens and usually picks up in a few hours. I stayed over night and was still 1 cm (like my 36 wk appt). I did efface some...70 % but thats it. I stayed until noon on tuesday and came home since contrax were irregular. I have had contractions and back pain on and off since then. My mom even came in from NY. My doula said its prodromal labor...could last a while. I had DD at 38 wks and DS at 39 wks. I am hoping this baby comes soon.  

Last night I lost more of my MP, and I started to have major contractions and back pain. I was up until 2 am in pain. 

PLus DD is sick, stomach issues and fever. Thankfully mom and DH are here to help. NOw I feel sick, Im hoping its labor and not a stomach bug.

Seriously, this is a lesson in patience.

    That sounds so frustrating! Try to take advantage of the help you have now to get some rest, and fingers crossed everything goes well! And soon!!

    i had prodromal labor for 3 or 4 days with DD.  If you were overdue they may have kept you? but since you arent even due yet maybe they figurd it will come on its own....

    I feel your pain!

    I had prodromal labor for 2 weeks with DS.  It's been a week so far with this LO.  Keys to my survival are a heating pad and benadryl.  Good luck, I hope it doesn't last as long for you.

    DS born 8/8/09 and DD born 6/12/12.
