At what point did you stop having blood clots? And how big were yours?

I keep finding all sorts of contradictory advice: many places say to call the dr. if yours is bigger than a 50 pence?! But some others said the size of a lemon.. just curious what you ladies are going by.

I am two and a half weeks post c-section and I am still having bleeding off and on as well as some super small clots at times. I am pretty active though as I have an almost 2 year old at home so when I move around a lot I tend to get more of both than if I am sitting around.

I was told at my discharge anything larger than a golf ball was something to contact my OB about.

I didn't have any noticably big blood clots but my doc said anything bigger than an egg you need to call them.

With DD I had bleeding off and on until about 4w PP. I'm 10 days right now, and I still have intermittent bloody discharge. I was told foul odor or bigger than a golf ball in clots. I don't think I've had anything bigger than a dime.

I never really had any blood clots after the first couple days PP, but my OB's rule of thumb was anything bigger than a golfball needed a phone call to the office. My bleeding just stopped 2 days ago, but it's done that before and returned full force so I'm not putting the pads away just yet.

I had two clots in the hospital, and bled until about a week and a half PP then it turned to a light brownish-yellow watery discharge until 3 weeks PP and it stopped completely. I was told if it was bigger than a toonie... (can you tell I'm Canadian?!?)

I was told anything bigger than a walnut call. Or soaking a pad an hour call.
