how to clean?

I'm trying to figure out the best way to clean the playpen/bassinet mattress. My little one spits up a lot and the bottom of the playpen is stinking already. I've just been wiping it up with wipes but the smell is icky now. What's the best and safest way to clean it?

    You could try a mixture of water, hydrogen peroxide, tiny bit of dish soap and baking soda. Make a paste with water, soap and baking soda. Then add hydrogen peroxide. Apply liberally to the mattress then let air dry completely. Best if you could put it out in the sun.

    A mix of tea tree oil and water. Smells nice, relaxing scent, and a natural disinfect. Spray and wipe down.

    I tried warm water with a squirt of baby's bath wash (castile soap/lavender) and baking soda. Worked well. No more smell (until she spits up again). I am going to add some tea tree for the next cleaning. Thanks for the ideas!
