Hey all!
I'm just wondering how far you are on your nursery.
My mum and sister and friend are coming over next friday to help me take down a border and paint the nursery, and put together all the furniture. We just moved into our house and nothing has happened in there yet, nothing is set up and we barely have anything.
How are you all doing?
Re: How Far Are You on the Nursery?
Our nursery is all painted and vaccuumed with all of baby's furniture in place. All we really have left to do is clear out all of the extra stuff that won't be staying in the nursery (the swing, stroller/car seat, etc.) We had our baby shower last weekend and put all of our new stuff in her room and still have to weed through what will stay in her room and what will go elsewhere in the house.
DH just put together the crib last night. that is all we have done. but baby is staying in our room, so it's not like we have an entire room to furnish & paint.
still, you have a little ways to go, so try not to stress!

95% done. I really don't have a lot going on except for work and then coming home to wrap up the nursery. My goal is to be done by this weekend. I know baby girl won't be sleeping in her nursery for some time, but we will still be using it as our area to sit, feed, read, hang out, tummy time, etc. I want her to get familiar with it and love it as her own little space.

It's painted. That's it. lol
We'll order her furniture in July and decorate then too. I have bought things for it though, so that will at least be here.
I'm not too worried this time around (we were done with DS's around 24 weeks I think?) lol. Sure, it's nice to have a room completed - but she'll be in our room the first couple months.
We are 90% done. Everything that I can do for now, is done. Once I have my last shower and then we purchase any items we don't get at the shower, then we'll be able to finish it.
Here is the side that is finished completely:
(I swear the picture is straight, it just appears slanted - you can see I even forgot to take the level down before snapping this photo)
Just completed Wednesday. My niece painted a mural on the walls and she completed it then. We started working on it around the end of March and just slowly pieced it together.
The room is painted (we had already painted it when we first moved in), carpets have been cleaned, we have the crib and dress/changer set up. I've gone through the clothes we have so far and sorted and washed them. Cleaned out the closet. We're ordering bedding and a crib mattress soon. Have a bassinet where she'll be sleeping in our room for a while.
I still need to put the bookshelf in her room (it's in the garage), hang a few things on the wall, get a window treatment, and put up the decal over the crib (should be here next week). Oh and then of course put away everything I get at my shower in July.
Here are the things we've done:
Things that still need to be done:

Ummm, nothing >.>
We just moved into this house about a month ago, so the most that is done is the crap that got shoved in there is now removed. We are planning on painting this weekend, and when that is done I'll feel like I can get some furniture and begin to decorate.
We're getting a crib from SIL/BIL, but not until we see them again won't be until June 30th
Starting to get kind of anxious about that...
We just started painting last night! So excited. I've been pinning like mad and have had paint samples up on the wall for over a month. Glad we finally pulled the trigger and got started.
We have our changing table/pad, bassinet (for our room), and a lamp. Everything else is on back-order! The crib, rug, and rocker should be here mid-July which is cutting it a wee bit close for me
We also have a bookcase and dresser which need to be painted white, that's DH's job for the next few weekends.

Baseboards are painted, furniture is assembled, rug is down, bought a lamp, clothes are washed and hung or put away (for the most part).
Still need to:
replace windows and paint trim
replace closet doors and paint trim
take down decorative shelves and replace with functional shelves
Buy/hang art
assemble rocking chair
We had our nursery painted, decorated and furniture set up since I was about 22-23 weeks.
We still have a lot do though becasue nothing we have bought, or any of our shower gifts have been organized, washed or putwawy. So our plan is to start on that this weekend.
My brother is actually currently staying in the room that will become mine, and LO's. My parents enjoy procrastinating, and we really should at least have everything taken out of his room and put in the spare room, or somewhere else. but we don't, So all the baby's stuff is in totes and boxes in my room.
All of our furniture is in place. Still have some stuff to get on the walls, I'm making the mobile next weekend, have to put up curtains...etc, etc. We don't plan on the baby sleeping in that room when he's first born anyways, and I know that I am just finishing for my own satisfaction, so I'm not in a huge rush.
