FFFC

Time for Friday Flame Free Confessions!

Mine is that I snuck out this morning for McDonald's breakfast, even though we have eggs here already.  I was just bummed about the LARP event getting cancelled and didn't feel like cooking.  Plus I wanted a mocha.  I sure do make losing weight hard on myself by constantly cheating. >.<;

Re: FFFC

  • I don't read the baby books. They just drive me crazy and I overanalyze everything and wonder if my baby is developing quickly enough.

  • DH works 12 hour shifts and misses a lot of DD's milestones, so I secretly allow him to think he is the one that saw her do things first. She has been rolling from back to side for about a week & last night I hear him screaming "Honey, look look she rolled from back to side" I said "Reallllyyyy wow she keeps learning new things" LOL I feel so bad he misses a lot because of work. No harm done right?

  • I have another one :/

    I am upset that DH's family who lives in a different state didn't come to visit us but we had to drive there so they could meet DD. The "excuse" was they wanted to throw us a meet the baby/shower party.

    OK fair enough I thought. They even asked us what we needed (not that it's about gifts) so we gave them a very short list becasue we have pretty much everything but those few things and we didnt' get a single thing from the list.

    We were hoping for a $25 booster seat, some sleep n plays for 9 mos and a travel bottle warmer that is $19 at target.

    NOTHING! We got a bunch of things we said we didn't need such as onesies and socks. DHs grandpa who is super rich didn't get her anything at all!!

    And then turns out it wasn't just DDs party they had to throw in Grandma's b-day celebration.

    I'm ticked b/c I wanted this to be DDs day like they said it would be.

  • Ugh, along the lines of bigbear...

    H's parents still haven't met DD. She is 5.5 months old. Enough said.

    That isn't really a confession. /vent

  • I'm planning on making my H's first father's day special. I'm making a personalized card for him "from dd". And I'm getting the grill he wanted. The thing is, my H is really horrible at gift buying, if he buys a gift at all. I didn't get anything for Mother's day and my birthday which are two weeks apart. He spent 20 bucks on me for Christmas...I was just talking to a friend about this and this part of me inside said, "I'd really like to stick it to him and not do ANYTHING". I know I won't, and I know he tries. He will have great ideas but horrible execution. He does things for me like gives me massages all the time. I'm the one who hates spending money. It just makes me feel unappreciated a little, even though he shows me in other ways. I feel childish about it. But recently he promised me a spa day because he has taken two hunting trips since DD was born and he feels bad that he has left me alone with her for a couple weekends. I got excited and left a few wensites up and discussed with him. Well, he has yet to make any plans. And he almost has hunting trip 3 planned out. I'm so *** pissed right now.

    That is a sad state of affairs. *hugs* Also, Wychets, I think that is terribly sweet of you. Your DH got a good one.
