I am here!! While I think this may be the start of things, I am not certain that we will be heading to L&D immediately- perhaps not even today.
I am timing the contractions more diligently and while they are coming in intervals, they are anywhere between 4 minutes to 9 minutes. I am not sure what this means; but I am encouaged that they are coming and have not stopped.
The on call doc said that while I should stay home, this could be the very beginning of labor and this could last from hours to a day or so... either way I am encouraged by some sort of progress. I dont think that BH contractions would last this long and at regular intervals; especially since I get them no matter what (lating down, sitting, walking, etc...)
The craziest thing is that my biggest concern is that from shoping yesterday I earned a lot of Kohls dollars that I can only use for a few days. I cant use them until tomorrow and so in an ideal world I could get up early tomorrow, spend my money and then check into L&D tomorrow and have Isabella. Baby and I could then have a whole day to freshen up and could then welcome you and Baby Carlos!!!
You are too funny thinking about your kohl's dollars! what a silly girl! All the shopping you did got Isabella excited and ready to join you.
I am glad that you are having progress, even if that doesn't mean you end up haivng her today. It's such a good sign! yay for that.
how was the OB when you called? were they nice? was it an actual doctor or a nurse... just curious.
also..there is a website that you can use to keep track of the contractions to see if there is any type of pattern... not sure, maybe contractionmaster.com or something like that.
When I called; it was an answering service and the OB who called back was foreign... I could barely understand her. She said not to call again until they were 2 to 3 minutes apart. She was nice enough....
And I have been using contractionmaster.com for timing them. It's very handy, you just click the space bar at the start/stop of each contraction and it records duration and length between contractions. Again - very convenient!
So, time is ticking for you as well. Does it seem hard to imagaine that this time in 2 days you will be holding your baby?
You know what gets me? Is seeing pictures of Synergy and Angels with their babies. It is so mind boggling to see their posts and then 2 days later to see their outside babies. I guess it is me realizing that this belly will really produce a baby girl!
I know what you mean about seeing these girls holding their babies, and being home already and all that... insane how fast things seems to once labor starts...
I can't believe that I have less than 48 hours. eeek. I really thought I was in early labor yesterday and was petrified... I was in so much pain last night, and was having such horrible back pains that wouldn't go away.... but I did sleep last night, and I feel good today, so I am guessing he's going to hold out until his eviction time.
at dinner last night, Jamie and I were talking about how scared we are. lol. my aunt called and was gushing on how excited and happy we must be, and I was just like ''ummm, yeah, I guess...." I am not sure if excited is the right adjective... absolutely petrified is a better fit.
keep me updated today if you can.. a text or a quick message here or on Facebook. I will be thinking about you all day long! I so hope this is and she isn't playing tricks on you!
I am hoping that she holds out until tomorrow afternoon so that you can do your Kohl's shopping... if you think about it... I am not sure how you go to the hospital... but if you take Rt.73 you can stop at Kohl's in Voorhees, do the needed shopping then take Cooper road to the hospital.. no harm, no foal! it's all along the way.... hehe

I know exactly what you mean about family & excitment.
On Thanksgiving my family was like, "arent you so ready and so excited" I had the exact same sentiments as you... umm, actually I am scared sh*tless!!
