As a soda junkie, I always thought that reducing my caffeine intake during pregnancy would be super hard - but it turns out one of my first symptoms (around 3 weeks) was an aversion to the stuff! I think it's largely a dehydration thing for me, being in Texas we're already nearing 100F & suddenly the ONLY drink I want is water. LOTS of water! (I normally hate plain water, lol)
I know there are ample tales of woe concerning long-time favorites an expectant mother suddenly can't stand, but has anyone else experienced their aversions or cravings actually being HELPFUL??
Re: Sudden aversion to all caffeinated beverages??
Yes, a couple of weeks ago I stopped wanting coffee of any kind, even decaf. This happened when I was pg with DS also. Also, the smell of alcohol turns me away right now as well (not that I have tried to drink it, lol, but the thought of having any just grosses me out).
I would like my aversion to ground beef to go away, as I love hamburgers and would be quite a bit sad coming into summer if I don't want them. My meat aversion with my DS was to chicken.
