Hi All!
My DH and I have struggled to conceive for several years and have moved on to adoption. We were home study approved late March and are currently waiting. The agency we are working with only works with a small pool of couples at a time 12-15 and once they have placed several families they open the pool up to those waiting. We are on the wait list and *hope* to be into the active pool this fall. In the meantime the agency encourages us to research other resources to build our family as quickly as possible.
If anyone has suggestions of agencies that accept outside home studies, have placement programs for african-american & bi-racial infants, and don't require a large chunk of $ up front please PM me.
I have been a long time lurker on various boards and feel as many of you
may, that the waiting game of adoption can bring up a lot of emotions
from infertility days; feeling alone, discouraged, sad. I am going stir-crazy
already! Hope this board can help me stay patient in the months to
come!
Thanks!
