ON solution for a tummy sleeper?

Hit me with your wisdom ladies! We were having luck with a BG shell stuffed with a flip organic cotton insert plus a hemp babies doubler folded up in front (folded inside the flip insert)... But she's woken up the past 2 mornings with a wet belly Sad I've been toying with the idea of fitteds. Any that are good for tummy sleepers? WDYD for your tummy sleeping baby?! TIA!

  • I use Bububebe's and wool over night on my tummy sleeper and haven't had any issues ever.

  • Tummy sleeper here. fitteds and wool works! Love it!

Maybe first just try fitteds with a cover.

We like totbots bamboozle, bububebe, old school cool. You can sometimes find bububebe on spots corner. :-) I got two of my bububebe's this way. I have a slight addiction. lol

     Hope this helps.

This.  Although we're able to even get away with a Flip cover. She's gone as long as 14 hours once recently, and DD is a little over a year.

  • When DD became a tummy sleeper there was no type of insert, insert combination, or fit combination I could get on her pockets to prevent leaking.  I switched to fitteds with wool covers and haven't looked back.  They're 100% bulletproof for us overnight.
  • I must be the only one but my tummy sleeping DS has been wetting through a fitted and wool cover since he was 7 months old. We use either a sbish or a bububebe fitted with 2 additional hemp/bamboo inserts and sbish wool longies. Every morning the inserts and diaper are SOAKED and the cover has leaked through to the sheets/clothing (it is lanolized fine, it's just so heavy with pee it goes through). I ended up having to switch to oversized disposables at night and even those cant contain it on occasion.

I honestly think he saves up all his pee for overnight because we go through very few diapers during the day. Maybe he's just the exception but for now I'm stuck with sposies. I'm hoping once we're one mainly solids we can go back to the fitteds and wool for overnight.

We do almost the same as you (and my DD is about the same age and also sleeps 11+ hours), except that we use a Flip cover instead of a BG shell.  The insert gets tucked into the Flip insert in the front, and I think that helps a bit.

At some point, I plan to make the switch to fitteds and wool, but I'm not going to do it until the Flips stop working for us.

Do you use a fleece liner over the organic cotton insert? I am ordering some Flip covers with the B2G1 deal now! Thanks everyone!
