period like cramp

i've been having period like cramps for about an hour now can this be a sign labor is near or just my body messing with me?

    I've had those a few times too and was hoping that it was possibly labor starting but NOTHING! The last 2 dr appointments I had I was sitting at 1 cm...no progression. Booooooo :(  I hope that it is the start for you though! Good luck!

    I heard yes and no. Basically its a yes that those cramps can be labor beginning, however only way to tell is if they get stronger and closer together. I've had cramps on and off (like now) for a week and I am definitely still pregnant, and even with the cramps, I haven't progressed in dilation from 1cm.

    Same as PP. I have been having a mix of intense BH and real contractions but nothing strong enough to do much. It is pretty much constant with rest periods of course. So it's been a week of being exhausted and uncomfortable. If they get stronger and you notice they are closer together start timing them... change positions and drink water. If it's the real deal I keep hearing... "you'll know."

    My dr said those are perfectly normal. I had them last weekend.
