Talk to me about Prefold and Cloth wipes!

If you use prefold how do you fold them? Do you just lay then in the diaper or use a snappi?

Do you use cloth wipes? If so wash and dry the same way? I'm so sick of using disposible wipes, throwing those away is almost more of a hassel then anything.

When we used PFs when DD was a newborn we did the angel wing fold and secured it with a snappi.

We started using cloth wipes a couple months into starting CDing. Soooo much easier to just toss everything in the same place. I just wash my wipes with the rest of my diaper laundry.

I use the newspaper fold a lot and secure with a snappi followed by a diaper cover for my little mister. I also sometimes use the bikini twist secured with a snappi. I know that fold is usually for girls, but if you fold it to the right instead of the left, it makes a little pocket for his goods lol and it works well for poopies! I sometimes do a tri-fold and just throw it into the diaper cover, but honestly, unless I'm using a hemp PF or a doubler, it sometimes leaks! He's a big wetter.

We do the angel wing fold. I also use some of the millions of wash cloths we got from showers as our cloth wipes. (how many washcloths does a baby need?!) I just wash them with our diaper laundry.

We always tri-fold our prefolds. I tried several different folds and we have a snappi but ultimately I didn't like the bulk around the sides. I also personally wouldn't like having a wet diaper around my hips, I prefer the wetness to stay between the legs and so do my children. I also found that my covers fit better with a tri-fold vs. anything with fabric around the sides.

We throw our wipes right in with everything else. Although it took us over two years to get on the cloth wipes bandwagon. We use disposables overnight so we have a trash can right next to our diaper pail and it was never that big of a deal to throw the wipes away. I do find it a pain to fold the cloth wipes, wet them and put them back in the box. I know some people use a little spray bottle but my children are so wiggly during diaper changes I always have to be holding them down and don't have extra hands for spraying.

I prefer the angel wing on DS and the bikini twist on DD2

I wash and dry my wipes with my diapers. Switching to cloth wipes was the best decision ever, so much easier and more convenient.

we trifold our prefolds and lay in the cover. usually he gets poop on the sides of the cover, but it's no big deal for us. by that time, we've gone through all 4 covers and it's time for laundry anyways!

we use baby washcloths as wipes. i have a small bowl of water on the changing table and just dunk and wring out each washcloth as we use it. we only need one wipe per change, even the huge poopy ones! wash and dry wipes with diapers.

We use OsoCozy prefolds. I use the angel wing fold, but DH trifolds as that's easier for him. I prefer angel wing because it catches more poop and possibly saves the cover from getting poop on it, but the trifold is good for catching pee.

We use baby washclothes as wipes. It goes in the laundry bag with the diapers and into the dryer with the prefolds and inserts. We just use water instead of a wipe solution, and it works well for us.

I vary how I fold the prefolds. When DD was a newborn I used either angel wing or bikini twist. Now I usually trifold unless I think she is due for a poop - then I use angel wing to help keep the cover clean.

re: cloth wipes. Yes, wash & dry along with your diapers.
