So, I wrote this post last weekend. My diabetes doc said just to keep an eye on it and if I continued to need less insulin for more than a couple days, mention it to the OB.
Well, it's continued for the last 6 days in a row. Between breakfast and dinner (12pm and 6pm) I need zero insulin with my food. This is odd.
At my OB appt today, I told her, and she thinks it could possibly be a random thing or the fact that I am on a new insulin (started a month ago) but it could also be due to placenta deterioration.
I already have a growth ultrasound tomorrow but if I didn't she said she would've booked one for me, that she didn't even want me to wait till Monday.
She said if the growth has slowed or stopped on baby, or if the fluid level is low (both signalling placenta deterioration), they'll monitor me weekly via ultrasound, NSTs, and give me steroid shots for lung development, and deliver me at 32 weeks (one month tomorrow).
Another note: My last OB appt was 3 weeks ago. Up until this point, my uterus was consistently measuring 8-9 cm (8-9 weeks) ahead. Today, it was only measuring 6 weeks ahead, meaning in the last 3 weeks I've only grown 1 cm (not 3 cm, like it should've been).
Anyways, I'll know more tomorrow but would you mind sending some T&P to me and baby? I have been trying so hard to make it to my c/s date at 37 weeks and not have a NICU baby. Delivering at 32 weeks would be too early for baby.
Thanks.

Re: T&P please (type 1 diabetes)
Thoughts and prayers are with you and your little one.
Good luck tomorrow!
Thanks everyone.
I definitely agree that good stories can come from the NICU. Both my kids were in the NICU after birth. I was just trying to avoid that this time
