I'm 7 weeks pp and am still afraid to start working out. My doctor gave me the ok to workout, but im still really swollen and sore down there and scared it'll just get worse. Any suggestions and what to do about it?
Start by taking an easy walk. It it feels too easy, add a minute of jogging. If you have any bleeding as a result of the activity, it means you have done too much. I also started lifting weights right after my baby because it made me feel strong. Good luck!
Walking, swimming, or light bike riding would all be good and aren't very high impact. Some light weightlifting would be good, too.
Definitely listen to your body, though. If anything hurts, stop immediately. Give your body the time it needs to heal. And follow the step up/step down rules for adding activity. 3 weeks of 25% increases in amount of exercise and then 1 week of 10% decrease. That should help prevent you from adding too much too fast.

I love the elliptical, I had a cesarean and was cleared to exercise before the 6 wk mark because the elliptical was my method of cardio (that's how low impact it can be)
Any mommies looking for extra support, motivation, advice, help etc... I have met some amazing mommies online through facebook https://www.facebook.com/GetYourSexyBackMoms I am hoping to connect with some more fitness oriented mommas because we can never have too much support

I hope everyone has a great weekend. xo
I'd walk, but other than that, wait until you feel more comfortable! I wouldn't push it yet.
Good luck!
