Baby related: I dont like when people get their newborn baby's ears pierced. I think that they should wait until the baby is much older (as in, is able to ask for them/understand what it means)
Not baby related: I loathe the reply to all option on group text messages. A lot of the times I get responses back from people that I dont know at all! (and honestly could care less about their 'ok, thanks!' response)
I don't think pediatrician waiting rooms should have TVs playing. Plenty of parents are trying to limit screen time. Parents should be able to entertain their kids for 15 minutes with a book and a few toys.
I want to punch people when they say I need to take prenatal vits to stop my hair loss.
Um, it is hormone related and a vitamin has nothing to do with it!! And even after explaining this to them and the fact that I"ve been taking the vits for over 4 years now, they still argue that it would somehow fix it! UGH
I think the baby bumbo is overpriced and ridiculous. It's like $1 worth of plastic for something that's essentially a booster seat being sold for $45. It's a ridiculous markup just for the brand name. Plus the shape of it makes me think that they can't move their legs around much. I'm half expecting there to be reports about the bumbo causing hip problems in 5 or 10 years. There's already stories of them tipping over, so I'd much rather just sit with DS or use a booster seat I can strap to a chair.
Also, I hate wrapping paper and gift bags. It's buying pretty paper that's meant to be thrown away after use. Why couldn't we adopt using gift wrapping fabric? It's easier on the planet, plus you can get nice fabric that makes a gift look special and be reused within the family.
I HATE it when you're with a group of mom's and they just go on and on about how perfect their babies are and how wonderful everything is when you know it's not. Isn't the point of mom's group (or bump board) to talk about how things are REALLY going so we can get support and help and share our experiences?? Fake people and attention hungry people piss me off! Say it like you mean it peeps!

I hate that in our society their can't be a "winner." Everyone gets a trophy. We throw graduations for practically every effing grade. It's absolutely ridiculous and has bred a generation of people expecting hand outs. It's not real life. You don't get to graduate college and get a decent paying job right off the bat, you have to work hard and get your ish done. But that's not the message we're sending. Every half assed effort gets a gold medal. *anger*
Also 50 shades of grey is crap. But I guess that's not an opinion because it's absolute truth.
This!!! (Except the 50 Shades of Grey part. I haven't bothered to read it)

15 minutes? Most times I am waiting for at least 45 minutes at the doctors office. I'll take the TV for that wait time thanks!

On my side of the family, we re-use boxes for wrapping. That means, you might get your Christmas ornament packaged and wrapped in a box that my cell phone came in. Or, in the case of one of my nephews, your Christmas money came wrapped in a box that used to house a wallet.
However, my brother's wife and DH's family think this is odd. In fact, at holidays, MH's family act as though me saving bags and boxes is eccentric and that they just go along with it to patronize me.
