Advice needed for nursing tanks!

Looking for suggestions for some good nursing tanktops or camisoles that I'll need in the near future to make breastfeeding easier.  I haven't found anything that I like so far...

I need something with decent support and I don't want to show too much cleavage which is hard since the girls are a DD/DDD right now and will probably get bigger!

Any advice would be great or websites I should check out.  TIA!

Re: Advice needed for nursing tanks!

  • I bought target tanks for the short term but I would ultimately prefer to invest in the glamour mom tanks. They seem to have better construction and I think I like the coverage on the top of the breast better.

  • I got Target tanks too. But my breasts are not big, so pretty much anything would work.

  • I have both the target gillian o'mally ones and I have some glamour mom ones too.  I much prefer to gillian o'mally ones the glamour mom ones are pretty short and low cut on the boobies last time I was a D to a DD when nursing so I was huge!

  • Bravado - you can get them at specialty stores or online.  They're great and I'm 34 F/G right now.  I have one Target tank I bought in the beginning to sleep in.  It's not very supportive.  The Bravado are great.  I think they're similar to the Glamour Mom brand.
  • I just got a few Glamour Mom tanks and I love them. I don't feel like a milk cow in them. Expensive, but worth it in my mind.

  • Like the poster a few above - the gillian o'mally ones are much longer with good support but also not too skin tight over the tummy area - the glamourmom ones came up a very short on me, and also fit very small/tight (I'm a DD and go to an E/F when nursing).

  • I love my Bravado nursing tanks.  I'm currently a 38G and I got them in 40 F/G.  They are really comfortable and offer great support that I could never find when I was nursing my son.  I wore nursing bras 24/7 and had a ton of back issues!  Check on www.kidcrawl.com, there may be people selling the tanks they bought on babysteals.  You might also find some Glamour mom tanks there too since they've been on babysteals too.

  • I don't know if you are at all interested in DIY projects, but I found this and it's extremely easy and cheap! I plan on making some of my own.

  • I second the Bravado recs.  I have Glamor Mom and other nursing tanks in XL, but getting a Bravado in an actual size (44 F/G) made all the difference.  They are expensive, though, and don't have a huge color selection.

  • I just purchased a Bravado nursing tank today, and I'm a smitten kitten!  Quality construction, appropriate support, flattering style, and lots of color options!

One of the pharmacies in town sells Bravado tanks and bras.  They let me try sizes and styles - and they were much less expensive than on the official site.

  • Honestly I don't love any of them.  I am currently nursing at a 40F and I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving the house in any nursing tank (I have Glamourmom, bravado, and Target).  I just don't get the mass appeal of tanks.  I feel much more comfortable in a nursing bra & tee shirt.

  • I have some of the Target tanks from when I was nursing my daughter, but honestly I'm not a fan of them. I have a couple of Bravado tanks and they are nice, but too short for me. I just tried a Glamourmom tank for the first time and I really like it so far although I haven't nursed with it yet. They have long tanks that I was able to wear during the 3rd tri with no issues and it has a piece of fabric at the top of the breast so you won't be completely exposed when nursing. I'm planning on buying some more. I only wear them around the house though. Not sure if I would wear them out in public (that goes for all brands, not just Glamourmom).
