I planned on posting an update earlier in the week, but the hospital internet has not been working. Thankfully it's back up and running before the weekend. I'd go crazy because there is NOTHING on tv on the weekends.
Anyway, I had my last growth ultrasound today. There still isn't any measurable amniotic fluid. Kendall had a full bladder, which means she's swallowing whatever little is left. I must leak it as fast as she pees it out. She was doing her breathing exercises which is always wonderful to see. Her poor face is smashed up against the placenta, I hope she doesn't come out with a pig nose.
The ultrasound tech was really stingy with her measurments and said she was about 4lbs 12oz. I'm thinking she's already over 5lbs though. She wouldn't go to the edge of her femur, belly, or head when measuring.
I was just taken off the monitor and my nurse was telling me how proud she is of Kendall and I. I guess her monitoring strip was one the best she's ever seen. She was bragging about it to all the other nurses and then telling them that I have no amniotic fluid, they are all shocked. She said her strips look like a normal full term baby, which is amazing for a 33 weeker.
I had a wheelchair pass today and went to the gift shop for some black friday shopping. Everything was 25% off. I bought Kendall a cute little green preemie hat she can wear when she's born. I also went up to the well baby nursery to see the healthy babies. There was one there that was 5lbs 5oz and was full term. I'm hoping Kendall will be the same size as her at 34 weeks.
Only 5 days to go until we get to meet her. This is my last weekend staying at the hospital....THANK GOD!!
Re: Update on Us
I am so happy to hear about all the good news. I wish you the best of luck on your induction and I will be thinking of you and Kendall lots. What a great sign to see her practicing her breathing, she is such a champ!!!
I am thinking of you and your baby girl!
