Hi ladies! Anyone else's son or daughter not bringing themselves to a sitting position? He sits perfectly on his own and plays when I sit him but not on his own.
It took my LO a long time to get to a sitting position and she's by nature very strong. Even now at almost 11 months if she's on her belly she will more times than not, crawl over to something, stand up and then plop down to wherever she wants to sit. All that work is much easier than sitting.
Then again, try and get yourself from a laying position to sitting up or on your knees to sitting up. I may just be old, but it's hard work!
One does, one doesn't (so much for being "identical"!). I'm not worried about it. At least not yet!
TTC for 3 years. Finally successful after 5 IUIs and 2 cycles of IVF. Our amazing twins were born 5 weeks early on 8/16/11. Found out April 2012 that our di/di twins are ID.
I wouldnt worry, out DS isn't doing this yet either, we started putting a husband behind him those pillows with the arms and when he falls backward he's now doing like a mini sit up to get back up, we think this will help strenthen his core and aid him in sitting up from laying down. He can almost do it from the reclined position now. It seems to have really helped him. I wouldnt worry though I'm learning especially being a paranoid mom that one day he can't do something and the next he can, it's like they just get it over night.
Re: 9 month old won't sit up by himself!
We'll miss you sweet Debbie Girl (4.21.12) and sweet Cindy Girl (8.9.12)

DS just figured out how to do it about 3w ago and started crawling shortly after.
