I went in for a scheduled RCS early Tuesday morning, delivered around noon, then was discharged on Friday afternoon. It does depend on the hospital nd your insurance and how badly you want to leave though. Good luck!
With ds #1 I delivered on Saturday and was discharged on Tuesday. c/s was not planned w/ him.
With ds #2 I had him very early Wednesday and was discharged on Friday. I was doing so well that my ob and I decided I could go home early. BUT if I wanted to stay that extra day I could have.
I found recovery the 2nd time around was so much easier!

I went in early sunday morning (around 1am). They decided I needed an emergency c-section around 10am. They prepped me and delivered him at about 2pm on sunday. We were able to leave early wednesday morning.
I only stayed 2 nights. OB gave me the option to go home the third day and I was more than ready.
Next time I'll probably stay 3 since I'll already have a child at home. I can see myself wanting to take advantage of the nursing staff and meals in bed at the hospital
DD2 was an unplanned c/s. She was born on a Tues afternoon and I left on Friday afternoon. My OB gave me the option to stay until Sat, but I didn't feel like there was any reason to stay. I was doing everything for myself, including going 2 floors down to the NICU several times per day. I also liked the idea of being able to just hang out in the NICU without needing to leave every few hours to get more pain meds.
Mine was Monday afternoon, I would have been discharged Thursday, but LO was in the NICU, so they let me stay an extra day thinking he'd be discharged. We still had to leave without him, but he went home the next day.
4 nights. I had my c/s on Saturday at 4:16pm, I left the hospital on Wednesday around 10am. I was there a total of 5 nights. I was there from Friday morning when I was induced.

I delivered on a Tuesday and was discharged the following Saturday. My OB said she could discharge me on Friday, but I stayed an extra day to meet with the LC.
My OB said the minimum was 48 hours, but with DD since she was born at 8:15pm, I didn't get out until I had spent 3 nts there. My hospital stay was miserable since the hospital only has a few private rooms, so I'm hoping to get out after 48 hours this time around.

I delivered Thursday morning and left Sunday afternoon but I could have stayed until Monday. I decided since I was feeling so good to go home a day early and my OB was fine with it.
I went into labor on Monday, but she was born early Tuesday morning. I almost got sent home Thursday, but they gave me the choice to stay one more day, so I did. Then on Friday, my BP went through the roof, so they kept me until Saturday!
So, counting Monday in labor, I was there 5 full days, but 4 full after she was born.
This is my fourth c-section, so my doctor said two days...with my first, I had gone through 29 hours of labor and then a c-section, so my recovery was much slower, and I stayed much longer.
I had my unscheduled c-section at 1:11 am on Wednesday. 24 hours later I was walking the halls and the nurses and doctor were surprised. I kept begging to go home so they let me go on Saturday about noon.

At my hospital after 8 pm = a new day so... c-section at 11pm on Wednesday and we left Monday morning.
We had the option to leave Sunday but we decided to stay because lo had to see a specialist because of a heart murmur.

We stayed 4 nights the first time. It was not a planned c/s, and my recovery was not going well.
The second time was a RCS and we stayed 2 nights (delivered 8:43am on Monday and left around noon on Wednesday).
