I am so frustrated right now. Ds bites me almost every time he nurses. I have tried everything that people have suggested and read what Kellymom suggests and tried that. I am scared every time he nurses, it f-ing hurts. He has two bottom teeth and I can't even imagen how bad it will hurt when he gets more teeth, especially tops to go with the bottoms. I REALLY want to bf at least a year. It's a big deal to me, for personal reasons, not because I think there's any thing wrong with ff. The only time he nurses and doesn't bite is in the morning when he first wakes up because he usually nurses back to sleep. I am considering exclusively pumping for all other feedings, but it makes me sad. I feel like he could care less about whether he gets a bottle or a boob, and it depresses me that he doesn't like nursing like he use to. I guess this is kind of a vent more than anything. But seriously, if anyone has any kind of suggestions, please help me! I have tried watching him and taking him off when he seems distracted, but he always seems distracted when nursing. I tried sternly saying no and ending the nursing session. I tried the smush face. Anyone got something else??
Re: Biting during nursing (ALL THE TIME)
I don't really have anything else but I would check out the breastfeeding board. There are usually good ideas on there.
The only thing I wanted to add was that now that you expect him to bite, I'm sure your letdown is getting delayed which could be why he is biting. It's a vicious cycle. You could try nursing for say 10 mins then ending the session and seeing how he is.
Olivia is always very distracted while nursing and I have just started ending it when I feel less full and she seems to have gotten a good amount. She was biting without teeth for a little while but I think my screams made her stop. Now that she actually has teeth I am terrified so I just try to end things before it ever gets there.
I hope this gets better soon! You are a serious trooper!!!
Here's a thread on biting but there are others on that board.

I am scared of this since DS is getting like 5 teeth at once
Anyway, if all else fails you could always try the cheek flick or nose tap (I realize these are controversial, but I have heard they help with nothing else does).
If my LO was biting me all the time I would be flicking her right in the cheek. I would have that finger ready!
