Today is my 29th birthday! I've been dreading it for the past few months, but all that changed last Thursday. I've been a little busy so I haven't had any time to update. We met w/ the attorney last Wednesday and on the way home I got a call from the current "mother" saying she was ready for me to take the girls. The attorney gave us power of attorney over the girls, but that's basically just glorified babysitters.
We picked them up Thursday afternoon and it was very emotional. I'm still scared to death that something will happen between now and July 12th and they will be taken away, but I really do have faith that it is all going to work out. We went to their current pediatrician yesterday w/ their "mother" to explain the situation and let the doctor know what was going on. One of the girls has a double ear infection so that was kind of a bummer, but other than that their records show they are perfectly healthy and happy babies. I can't believe we went from 0 to 2 overnight. It all still feels like a dream.
I got a certified letter from my doctors office yesterday saying we owe $300 if we want to store our last ds sample for a year. We really aren't sure we want to store w/ the odds being so slim that it would work. And w/ twins I really don't see us using it in the next year.
Thank you all so much for being there for me over all the failed cycles.
After 3 years of infertility we were blessed with twin girls through private infant adoption.

It's been a long journey. TTC since 9/06. multiple IUI's and IVF's and 4 m/c's. IVF#3 = BFP, twins, induced at 34w6d due to baby b passing away (no explanation). Delivered on 35w1d, Baby A - baby girl, and Baby B - baby boy, our little angel.
