DD has been a little cranky the last few days, but nothing that bad... She has been drooley though and constantly wanting her hands in her mouth... I guess I just didn't see the signs, because today I found 2 teeth breaking through!! It's so early, I wasn't expecting her to start teething for moooonths! Anyone else got an early teether on their hands? How's the poor little guy/gal coping? And what are you doing to help? I'd love to ease her discomfort, but she won't chew on anything other than her hands... And my nipple haha. It's a cool milestone though, and I've faithfully recorded it in the baby book :P
Re: Teething! Anyone else?
Her pediatrician and I both think my LO is starting some activity there as well. She is constantly rubbing her ears and rubbing her gums on anything that gets near her, with a heavy preference for my index finger.
I got one of those amber necklaces for her after seeing 2 friends have tons of success throughout teething with them. Both of their LOs never griped about teething and didn't have sleep issues throughout the process, so I figured it couldn't hurt to try it.
Anyone considering using the amber necklace on their LO?
My LO is teething also... I wasnt expecting this part to happen so early
I guess I've been missing the signs!!!
LO has been drooling a lot for the past week and gets a little cranky and fussy sometimes. He also has been pooping a little more softer than usual and rubbing his face and sucking on his hands. omg I guess I'll check his gums later when I pick him up after work. He is sleeping good at night though.
GL with teething ladies. I can't wait to find out now hehe.

After reading this, i've noticed my LO has the signs. I looked in her mouth and there's one little white spot on her lower gums. Poor thing. She doesn't want her paci, she just wants her hands or her blankey or my fingers. I'm stopping to get baby tylenol (left mine while traveling) and baby orajel tonight on the way home. Also freezing the teethers. She's 14 weeks old. CRAZY! My oldest nephew didn't get teeth til he was a year old, his little brother not until almost 5 months.
I do have a question about the poo though. It's been runny a lot lately I've noticed that's a sign of teething, but can someone explain why to me? I want to make sure it's not something else.
I won't pretend this came from a pedi or anything, but a few people have told me it is because of the increased saliva and oral activity. I guess it increases the liquids in their digestive track???
I think A might be starting to teeth, too, but the pedi doesn't. However, the pedi doesn't see in the evenings when nothing but mine or DH's finger being vigorously chomped on will quiet her down. We also have a chamomile based teething gel that we put on her lower gums in one spot where it looks pretty white but nothing's broken through and it helps calm her down.
