Seriously. I cannot take any more of these diaper changes. It's like wrestling an octopus. I've tried singing, talking, giving him toys to play with, giving him non-toys to play with, letting Scout the dog sing to him, having his brother entertain him, on the changing table, on the floor, when he's happy, when he's already mad about something else...doesn't matter. It ends with him screaming and thrashing, and me frustrating and in a full blown sweat.
Doesn't help that he's getting both his canines and molars right now, and both my kids have had the WORST poop with their canines (5x yesterday -- we have regressed to the newborn stage, and 2 so far today), so I feel like we're changing diapers constantly. UGH.

Re: I'm about to potty train my 11mon old
That's impressive. Can't say I haven't tossed it around. DS1 was so freaking easy to potty train before 2.5 that I wondered why I didn't try it earlier.
Though, as I was changing DS2's poopy diaper, apparently DS1 had a bout of very loose stool. Thankfully he didn't need any help and made it to the potty in time. Finished DS2's diaper change, went to wipe DS1's butt and clean his potty out (that was a job), and hear DS2 screaming his bloody head off because he closed himself in his room and couldn't get out. Oh, I love my 2u2, but sometimes I'd give my left arm for a halfway independent child.
Thanks for the sympathy.
Abbey has been like that since she was 6 months old!!! I totally sympathize. I don't understand how a baby can be stronger than me!!!
I've found the ONLY thing that kind of works is changing her in the living room in front of the TV where she can be distracted by a cartoon for those few minutes...even that sometimes backfires though
I put a toy on LO's chest for him to play with and that keeps him still.
But my mom who was a SAHM mom had me potty trained by 1 she said. I thought she was a big fibber until one DH friends( a female) had her LO potty trained by 1 also. She too was a SAHM.
So it's possible!
Oh, sweet Jesus, the moisturizing. He has moderate-severe eczema, so at least twice a day I'm lubing him up with calendula lotion/steroid cream/hydrolatum, something. I think that's part of the reason he dreads the changing table so much -- he knows that half the time he's up there, it's going to take a looong time.
