UPDATED update to "More Contractions"

Well I'm home from labor and delivery. They gave me a shot of turb (that thing stings!), and added an IV with fluids and antibiotics. I have what looks like the beginning of a UTI which we all know is the #1 cause of preterm labor. Contraction slowed down. My doctor was actually in L&D delivering and was on call so she stopped by to say hi. She said that baby girl looked good and since the shot seemed to help with the contraction after the antibiotics I was good to go home. However, she said if I have 4 contractions in 1 hour max to come back to L&D. She doesn't want to risk me rupturing since I had a classical incision last time on my uterus. The plan would remain to have a shot of turb in the event I need to come back, but, if after 1 shot I'm still having contractions she would make the decision to proceed with the c-section. At this point she believes baby would be good and would have a better chance than if I were to continue to have contractions and risk the rupturing.
FX I can make it to my c-section date (just under 3 weeks away), but realistically, my goal right now is 36 weeks which is next weekend! I might have a baby sooner than I think....

I'm glad you got to see your Dr. and they got you going on antibiotics. Try to take it easy!

Glad to hear your home. LO needs to stay put for a few more days. These July babies just don't want to wait.
I know what you mean about the shots burning, I had to have two and the nurse was apologizing the whole time she did it. Not fun, but worth it. Hope the contractions stay away for at least a few days!!!
