To those that will NOT be cutting bangs...

...how are you keeping their hair out of their face? DD's hair is at the point where she constantly looks like a hot mess with her hair in her eyes. I try to brush it to the side or put a clip in it. The clips have to be put in when she doesn't notice or she immediately pulls them out. If I can trick her into not noticing, she eventually finds them and tries to eat them (which I'm terrified will choke her if I don't catch it). So, how are you keeping their hair out of their face...or are we all struggling with this if you've chosen not to cut bangs?

We do a lot of pig tails and side ponies. By side pony I mean we pull it over to the side on top of her head and rubberband it, then I do a "topsy tail" and tuck the pony into a twist like thing so it's not sticking straight up. I've also continued to try clips and she normally pulls them out, but is getting better at taking them....I think probably because I just keep putting it back in. GL! I love that my little girl has hair to pull up!!!

I just keep brushing them off to the side. She won't let me keep clips in her hair and I'm afraid, like you mentioned, that she might swallow the clip if she takes it off when I don't see her right away. Her hair is very fine and she still doesn't have a whole lot of it yet, but her bangs are just about right to her eyes now.

Oh it's terrible! Everyone keeps asking when I will cut it, but I just haven't. I came this close to cutting it last week before her 1 year pics, but we didn't make it. I just try my best to pull back in a pony tail. By the end of the day, it's falling out, but at least I try. It doesn't seem to bother her.

We also do all different pony tails and pig tails. It's fun, and Em lets me do it. On Wednesdays whem my MIL watches her, we have to do a barrett, but that is a bigger pain because she plays with that and I am afraid she will eat it. She hasn't yet, but I get nervous. We have never tried a headband. I don't know why.

I've never cut DD's hair before. When it was in that weird stage I was doing lots of pigtails and if I could I used the clips.

Alexis' bangs always have to be clipped to the side and when they aren't she definitely looks like a hot mess. The clips work pretty good, she only recently has started pulling them off and trying to chew on them, usually she only does it when she's bored. As we speak she is pulling it out of her hair lol Headbands don't work for her because it just slides off her head because of how smooth her hair is. I really don't want to cut her hair, I just love how long it is. It definitely is a struggle though.

Of course, A's hair is short everywhere else except in the front so it's always in her face. Luckily she tolerates clips and they finally stay in so that's what we've been doing. She doesn't quite have enough for a pony tail yet. Were letting it grow for a while since it's all uneven.
