Timeable contrax...then they stopped. grrrr....

in 3rd Trimester

i started having BH contrax about 3pm today....they were coming about every 10-13 minutes.  This last for 4 hours....even through walking and a shower.  I normally have them everyday, but never conistently.

Now nothing,,,,,,,,,,,,,everything stopped exept for some sharp pelvic pains and a litte tightening.

Oh well.....maybe i will start up again soon??

    I was 3cm at 35w and I get checked again tomorrow....so I'm interested to see if I have progressed at all!

    these BH were crazy...they were so intense that I had diarreha twice during them. I thought for sure it was time! :(

    hopefully we are both soon!!

    You are more progressed than I am.  I was only 1cm dilated and have been since 35 weeks.  Hoping to hear some good news at my appointment on Friday! 

    Last week I had "real" contractions that came every 4 minutes on the dot for 3 hours, than slowed down and became irregular for an hour, and than picked up to every 3-4 minutes for an hour and then slowed down again.  They were different than the BH b/c I felt tons of pressure on my bladder (making me feel like I really had to pee when I was completely empty) and they came and went in waves with menstrual like cramping.  I couldn't talk or walk though them, but was determined to wait it out as long as possible before heading to the hospital.  Turns out not to be labor (duh) and when I went to my appointment 2 days later- nada.  No progression.  I was so disappointed!

    That is just crazy how these contractions can seem so real when they become timeable....then nothing.

    I thought they were different because it was like sharp period cramping in the front and alot of rectal pressure.

    I never had any of these with DS....once my timeable contrax started, they never stopped.

    Maybe you are close!  

    With DD1 I had regular "contractions" (about 10 mins apart) for around 5 hours on a Saturday morning---then nothing!!!!  Sunday night I had upset tummy and again had regular contractions (for real this time), I checked into the hospital at midnight.  DD was born by 5am monday morning.

    That happened to me two days ago.  I woke up at 5am with contractions and they lasted till 11:30 am.  They started 10 minutes apart and progressed to 4-6 minutes apart.  At around 11 am they started to die down to 10 minutes then 15, then 20 then they stopped.  I'm glad, cause it's a little earlier yet, but I was thinking they may be the start of the real thing. The doctor thinks I was dehydrated, so I drank 2 liters of water that day. I've been increasing my water since.  Good luck.
