Guess who gets to be the special Aunt tomorrow??

Ok, SO and I aren't married, but the kids (SO's brother's kids) consider me their Aunt. SO got a text from SIL that no one can make it to our nephew's 5th grade graduation because SIL is going on a field trip with her daughter and BIL needs to work. SO will be sleeping because he's on the night shifts this week. I was the only one who could go (including grandparents and other aunts and uncles...) I feel terrible that no one else can go, but it's during the week in the middle of the day so I get it. I just wish they would have said something about it before TONIGHT! Maybe more people would have been able to attend. Maybe not, it's only a 5th grade "graduation" but still...important, nonetheless.

So, I get to be the Auntie that takes video and pictures and listen to him sing! First function I'm the most important person in the audience for any of these kids!

    Aw that's so nice you get to go. Even though it seems like it's not a big deal, it will mean a lot to him. Have fun!

    That's fantastic! I teach in an elementary school, and fifth grade graduation is a big deal to the kids. He will be so happy to have you there!
