I've been going on my LMP for my due date, December 5. The doctor always just said "early December".
Yesterday I had my NT ultrasound. Tech said it looked all good. All I have to do is wait for the blood results from the doctor. However, the tech asked, "So your due date is December 14?" We were confused, because we were never told that. (Yes, I feel like the biggest idiot for not getting a clear answer from the doctor before.)
So, out of curiosity, say that the new due date is December 14. Does that mean I'm not 14 weeks along, like my tickers say? Would I move back like a week and a half?
Other than that, we were excited to see the stubborn little baby (who wasn't cooperating with the tech) kicking its feet and sucking its thumb.
Re: Stupid Question: Due Date
OK. Great info. Thanks.
I'm sure it will change again and again. In fact, a family friend's due date was changed like every appointment.
I'm not worried. I just want to make sure I know where I am and should be!
Again, I feel like the biggest moron for not getting this info sooner!
First pregnancy? Trust me, you will probably have many more "moronic" moments in the future :P Enjoy them! Teehee.
Don't feel like a moron!! Dates change. However in my OBGYNs office the 12 week date is the one they run with. Not the ones before or after (unless there are unforeseen complications later).
So I would change your ticker. But of course it's up to you! LMP dates aren't very accurate.
Definitely look forward to feeling like a moron on and off for the rest of my life! LOL
OK. Changed my date on my profile, just because it feels like everything is lining up right.
And, yes, I'll be sure to ask the doctor directly when I see her again next month!
My LMP would've had me due 11/17. Yeah.
My period were wildly unpredictable b/c I was/am breastfeeding.
The most accurate measure of your EDD is an u/s around the 7th week of pregnancy. I had one at 6 weeks that put me with an EDD of 12/8. At my 12 week u/s, it was exactly the same - 12/8. I would go based on your first u/s and not your LMP.
Yay! Now I have the same due date as someone else!
