Bikini Question -- Can I get away with it?

DH and I are going to Spain, specifically, Tenerifi.  It is Spanish island's similar to Hawaii.

We are arriving Friday night and leave Wednesday night.  My bikini still fits with my bump.  I look the same as before, I just have a bump.  Luckily I had room in my boobs, so it fits perfectly now. This is the only time I will be wearing a swimsuit all summer, can I get away with my bikini?

I will also state that it is Spain and people are not as modest as in the US and I expect to see a lot of men in speedos and women in bikini and also topless.

What would you do?  It honestly doesn't seem worth the money and more importantly, the time.  Stores close here at 5:00 p.m. and I have a work event tomorrow, but push come to shove, I could run out during lunch tomorrow.

Thoughts, can I get away with it?

  • Yes, and I hate you because of it.

  • I'd go with it! I seriously considered it but had issues finding tops that I wasn't falling out of, and I'm going to the lake with my parents and grandparents and I think they would freak out!!!!  If you feel comfortable, I say go for it!!!!

  • If you're comfortable in a bikini, go for it.  I wore one with my last pregnancy into my 41st week - and I was in the US when I did it.

I think you can. And if anyone judges you for it, who cares? Not like you will ever see them again!

This is my thought. If you can rock it, go for it!

I wore my regular bikini when pregnant with DS. I just wore a tank over it when not in the water.

  • Bikini it is!  I already have a cover up that still works too!  Excellent, I can't wait to be warm in Spain!  It's been so cold here!
  • I wore a bikini last pregnancy and will with this one as well. I gained all baby so far. No need for a one piece.

  • Yep, I would do it. I've actually been rocking my bikinis in the backyard with just DH (we have a pool), but I got a maternity tankini for when we have guests over. If we were going overseas or I just needed the swimsuit for one occasion, I would definitely just make do with what I have.

I wore mine the entire summer I was pregnant with DD and have rocked the bikini this summer too.  So you know what my answer is ;)

My body sounds like yours--I gain all of my weight in my belly and everything else tends to stay the same.  I feel comfortable in a bikini and that's all that matters!

  • Yes! Go for it!

  • Totally rock the bikini! I wore mine in Turks & Caicos a month ago. I'm all belly so mine still fit. You won't see those people again anyway so who cares! You're on vacation, enjoy!

  • Im in Hawaii now, aNd have worn a bikini every day.  No one has seemed to find it odd at all.

    Have a blast!

  • I've been wearing mine! (I love in San Diego and its beach wether year round) Although the top is a little small everything looks the same and I honestly haven't gotten any strange looks or comments about it. :)

  • In Spain, hell yes.  I'm generally not a fan of pregnant bods in bikinis, but you'll be in Europe - have at it.
