Baby Names

What do you think of this boys name?

Hayes? My husband and I like it but not sure either. Also it's hard to find a good middle name to go with it. TIA

It comes off as a bit snooty to me. I don't hate it, though.

  • I could only get behind it if it is a family name.

  • I've never heard it as a first name, I know a few families with that as their last name - we are in the midwest.  So, not sure if that matters to you, its nice though.
  • I don't like it as a first name... It might be better as a middle name.

  • Great middle name, not a huge fan for a first name

This, although as a PP said, it wouldn't be bad in the MN spot, and especially if it's a family name.

  • It's not terrible, but not something I would choose myself. I mostly see it as a surname. And for some reason, it seems a bit feminine to me, but perhaps that's because I went to school with a girl who often went by Hayes as it was her last name.

  • I never would have thought of it... but might keep it in the works for when I get to name someone...  I would prob prefer for a girl though.  It's my MILs maiden name, so I'm sure she'd appreciate the shout out.

  • Don't like it as a first name. It would make a nice middle name if it's a family name though.

  • I think of it as a last name, but I tend to like last names as first names.
