Nausea?

Yesterday, cd1, I had nausea at night along with hot flashes. I had been taking Tylenol all day, but not more than recommended dosage. Today, I was pretty nauseous in the morning, then just intermittently from then on. Haven't taken any Tylenol today, despite a pounding headache.

I have, of course, googled this and totally freaked myself out with Tylenol poisoning symptoms. Ive never had nausea as a period symptom before, and am not having cramps. I did have some ovulation nausea for the first time this cycle, too.

Thoughts/experiences with nausea/reasons it is stupid to be worried about Tylenol-related liver damage would be appreciated. At this point, it is probably me being freaked out that is causing the queasiness.

I don't know if my answer will help you but I get nausea intermittent like that throughout my entire cycle sometimes. Its the strangest thing. i think if it were Tylenol poisoning there would be a few more related symptoms. i hope you start to feel better soon. I'm sorry I couldn't be much more of a help.

I can't imagine that taking the recommended dose of Tylenol for just one day (even all day long) would cause Tylenol poisoning. It's definitely possible that it's just cycle related (I get nausea at strange times sometimes during my cycle) or it could be related to your headache. Or, it could even be a virus. I hope you're feeling better soon, though!

This! I have a super-sensitive stomach so I frequently feel a little nauseous.

Everything makes me queasy these days. Except for my thyroid meds that need to be taken on an empty stomach, I take everything with food and that definitely helps.

I doubt you are ODing on Tylenol. Is your headache worse than others you have had? Migraines make me nauseated. Do you have seasonal allergies? If your ears are plugged up or infected it can throw off your equilibrium and make you feel sick. If it were me I'd eat a nice lunch with a big glass of water and then take some Tylenol. Feel better soon!

Thanks, all. I was taking Tylenol the day before CD1 as well, and couldn't remember if that was the day I had a glass of wine. I don't think I hit maximum daily dosage either day, but I started to worry about processing things slowly (like the triggers shot) and then google just freaked me out with its "nausea and sweating" symptoms. Last night I got about 12 hrs of sleep, and feel much better. And really, with 2 days of recommended daily dosage (or less) and one glass of wine, I should think there is nothing to worry about, especially since I am feeling better.

Of course, google says that with poisoning you will feel better, and then you will feel worse, so that doesn't really help... ::eye roll at myself::

The initial nausea didnt have headache, but migraine could certainly explain the more recent queasiness. Thanks again for the reassurance, and I will try to stop being paranoid.

How much Tylenol did you have? How many tabs of what dose, how many hours apart?

I doubt it's Tylenol OD based on the symptoms, but Tylenol is not something to OD on. It's very mean to your liver.

Pretty sure it was 6-7 tabs/day of 500mg spaced 4hrs apart for 2 days with one glass of wine the first day, but I'm not certain. Under the max dosage, so it should be fine. And yeah, I know Tylenol and the liver do not get on well...I am normally the one lecturing others on the dangers of Tylenol! Usually, I don't even touch alcohol with Tylenol, and I try to take as little as possible...I think my Bfn fed-up-ness and cramps made me lax, and then when I got hot flashes/night sweats and nauseous and then googled, I freaked. Next time I may just mix one or two Advil in, or just deal with the pain a little longer. I've never really been comfortable with Tylenol, and meds in general make me nervous. At least I will never be addicted to Vicodin, right?

Yeah, you were fine. Do not exceed 4 grams a day (or eight 500mg tabs).

Nooooo and boooo for your CD1 . I was really hoping u this was the one 4 u!

Its not tylenol related but I was so nausious for days around O and post O. I think I made myself prego!
