strollers? is 3 too many?

So I already have my Bob jogging stroller and I saw on my registry that someone bought the snap and go that we registered for because weforgot to take off because after we got home we changed our mind. Well I am also registered for an umbrella stroller...do you thinkI should keep that on my registry or take it off since I have two now? TIA!!

Re: strollers? is 3 too many?

  • I retired our travel system stroller and started using our umbrella stroller once ds was old enough to sit up. The umbrella stroller is so much lighter and takes up less room in the trunk.

  • Keep it!  I used a Jeep umbrella stroller with my boys when they were 1-2yrs old and they are GREAT for that age.  :)

  • I think you will use the umbrella more than the snap and go....so just return that when you get it at your shower.

  • You can't use an umbrella stroller until the baby is old enough to sit up unassisted (around 6 months). A BOB is very large and cumbersome for quick trips out. A snap-n-go is handy for use when the baby is still in the infant car seat. I think you'd use all three stollers, though not necessarily at the same time.

With my DD, I used a snap-n-go while she was in the infant seat, a lightweight full-size stroller (Zooper Waltz) after she outgrew the baby seat, and an inexpensive umbrella stroller for traveling long distances (I wouldn't have been heartbroken if the airline lost or damaged it).

  • I would nix the umbrella stroller. We had the snap and go for the infant car seat and it was AWESOME, the lil one cant really sit in the bob or the umbrella until he/she is like 6-9months old anyway. And I can GUARANTEE once you use the bob you will put up w. the size in your trunk rather than use the umbrella stroller no matter where you go. It is so much easier to manuever!!! not to mention way easier on the back. I have an umbrella stroller and its collecting dust in the garage, I opt for the bob anytime we go anywhere.

    This.

I had your exact set-up and it worked really well (though you will hopefully be more diligent than me in running with your BOB!).

The snap-n-go was invaluable that first year or so since you never have to take baby out of the infant seat for mall trips, etc. When she grew out of the infant seat, the Maclaren became our go-to.

  • Um, I have 6 strollers and I'm considering a 7th.  Some have gotten more use than others of course.  I'd say 3 is definitely not too many.  You will use the Bob, snap and go, and umbrella for different occasions.
