DH *still* doesnt understand that when DS is fussy you have to get up and walk around when you hold him. You cant just sit there! Last night I was trying to cook dinner, keep DS entertained so he wouldnt have a melt down, and make the dog dinner...all while DH took a nap on the couch. Ummm, really?

I think we have the same H. He has been really helpful to me lately, so I feel bad complaining, but I don't understand why he refuses to get out of his recliner to get DD to settle down or to entertain her. She is only awake for about two hours that he is home from work, the recliner will be there all night to lounge in.
Between our two wonky work schedules there are about 6 daysd a month when DH is home with DD but I am at work (rest of the time either I am home, we are both home or she is with inlaws). He cannot figure out how to so much as rinse a dish while he is "watching her". Then I come home from work, washes bottles, wash pump parts, prep bottles, do homework (oh yeah I am in grad school) and take care of her because he "can't get anything done all day". I feel like Debra Barrona, constantly muttering "idiot" to myself. I don't know how a 35 year old man can be totally defeated by a 4 month old. Seriously, you put her in the PNP and rinse your dish off, put it in the dishwasher and wipe down the counter. Even if she fusses, it only takes a few minutes...I promise she won't run away from home because of it. Good grief
