Playtex Drop In Freezing Question

I remember a few months ago someone on The Bump shared their method for storing milk they had pumped directly into the Playtex Drop In liners so that they didn't have to keep the pump adaptors on the liners. Something about freezing it and then taking the pump adaptor off and putting the liner full of milk in a ziploc bag... The problem I'm running in to is if I stand the liner full of milk on the lid to freeze it (since the bags can't stand upright) then I can't get the lid off, so I can't transfer the liner to a big ziploc bag. Does anyone have a good method for this? Advice? I am producing WAY too much milk to buy enough pump adaptor things for each liner I fill!

Re: Playtex Drop In Freezing Question

  • I hope someone has the answer to this, because this is the method I was hoping to use with my Drop-ins, and I just got my pump today!

  • I often post about this because this is what I did.  Unfortunately if I pumped for. Stash I used the Medela bags stored flat. I would store in the liners with the caps what I pumped on Friday for the next Monday. Generally for work I was able to serve what I pumped and that all just stayed in the drop ins. But they are bulky and I'd be afraid of spills to freeze uncapped.
