Ideas for a time capsule

My friend is having us put together a time capsule for her son's 1st bday to be opened when he turns 18.

I am trying to think of something awesome to put in from Evelyn that will be really cool to see when he turns 18. Any ideas?

I was thinking of making a CD of the top 10 songs, but will they even have CD players anymore?

    Who has a cd player now for that matter? How about a picture of your LO and him together? Or one of those artist renderings of what people will look like when they get older of him. It will be fun to compare.

    If you want to do music you could always pick up a cheap discman/mp3 player and stick that in the time capsule with a pair of headphones.

    What about a favorite book or toy they liked, baby pictures, a letter from you and maybe grandparents or aunts and uncles. Newspaper ads with prices of things, movie theater listings, top song listings, stuff like that. Someone made E a scrapbook of major current events, movie times, horoscopes, top hits, car sales flyers, grocery ads, etc from the day he was born. It's really cute and fun to look at.
