I am pregnant for the third time, my first was an emergency csection, resulting in a repeat Csection with baby #2, and now again with baby number #3. Anyone else noticed that the muscles around the scar tend to ache in pregnancy? i wouldnt say its pain, just kinda aches, and sometimes if i laugh really hard or get up fast, i can almost feel a pulling sensation, but like i said, it doesnt really hurt, just noticable. Anyone else?
I noticed this when I was pregnant with my second which was less than two years after my first c-section. This time around I have had no scar pain/pulling, but my last c-section was over 5 years ago.
OMG yes! This is baby #2 and for the past 2 weeks it has been very painful and uncomfortable around my scar. Doc said it was normal though and try a belly band. Mine even hurts on the outside now. Note: My incision was up and down-belly button to pubic area.
I have had a similar experience. I had an emergency section with my first, a non negotiable repeat with my second and just changed the plan from a VBA2C to a scheduled c-section. One of the things that changed my mind was that feeling you are describing. I also have had a ton of other pains in this pregnancy I never encountered with the other two. They're all pretty close together, my first two are fourteen months and this one will be 19 months since my last.
I think it is mostly normal, my doctor said it is just part of having a prior c-section so I wouldn't worry. Best wishes to you
