Has anyone had these while pregnant? i am concerned I may have them. i am not in pain but my poop has turned a pale shade of brown. I looked up what that meant and it is a sign of gallstones.
I had them when I was 19 and had to get my gallbladder taken out. It seems like there are quite a few number of women who get them when pregnant. I didn't have weird color poop but horrible pains right under my right boob that radiated all through my front side and went to my back. What other symptoms do you have?
Really I think that is it. I still vomit pretty badly from time to time which is also a symptome but i am blaiming on m/s. i could be wrong though. no weird pains or anything yet.

Ditto--exactly right down to when I had mine out. LOL! Weird color poo could be a liver issue. I have liver issues in pregnancy (cholestasis) & it causes that symptom but it's a rare condition. I had terrible itching too as a symptom so unless you have that, it's not the same thing. Definitely go get it checked out!

I'm going to come of "lurk" mode to answer this. I just had my gallbladder taken out last week and I'm 6 months pregnant. Gallbladder pain is the most horrific pain you can have. My gallbladder was so full of stones and so inflamed that it gave me pancreatitis and I had to have emergency surgery. My doc said that pregnancy sometimes exacerbates the gallbladder due ot hormones, etc.... If you're concerned, get it checked out. I don't wish gallbladder pain on my WORST enemy. I've had it over the years thinking it was something else, but my pain started Monday of last week at 700pm and lasted until Tuesday 700pm. I couldn't take it anymore and asked DH to take me to the emergency room. There they did an ultrasound of my abdomen, blood tests, etc..... and deemed it necessary to take out my gallbladder because it was already extremely dangerous. If in doubt, get it checked. Good luck.
I have them.. I get SEVERE pain when I eat fatty foods.. Like in tears doubled over in pain. You can have gallstones and they won't cause you any problems at all.. There is nothing they can do about them short of removing your gallbladder and no one will touch mine while i'm pregnant even with my bad pain.. So.. I wouldn't worry about the shade of your poop.. Its more likely just something that you ate.

Yeah, it IS severe pain. The reason they took mine out being 6 months (almost 7 months) pregnant was because they stones were leaking into my pancreas and the doctor said that it could be lethal. It was horrible. Are you planning on getting yours out after your baby is born????? I'm so happy they got that organ out of me. Now I can eat without being in constant fear that I'm going be in severe pain hours later...
I had nasty pain at 9weeks and they did an U/S and diagnosed me with gallstones. I had a more thorough U/S about 2 weeks later and my kidney stones are not too bad so they are leaving it alone until I have the baby. I have to really watch what I eat. I have to stay away from really fatty foods. Anyway, just call your doctor with your concern and go from there. If you don't have any pain than it's probably not it.

I will Most likely have it out after baby. I am going to see how it goes.. I have been able to control my pain pretty well so far by diet. I have had no major attacks in over two weeks now. (I just got the dx about 3 weeks ago, and prior to that was having attacks almost every night for a week and a half). The surgeon i talked to said i had no inflammation or infection, so there was no real risk.. and I just have to watch my diet.. I have Loratab that my OB okayed should the pain get bad, but i haven't needed it yet. I have also read of the gall stones sort of "curing" themselves if you just watch your diet for awhile.. So I am hoping that will help.. I have eaten nothing fried and no yummy cakes or cookies.. My only real fat weakness is CHEESE.. I can't resist it. But so far so good.
