Pain near incision

I haven't been on in quiet some time, but I'm almost 35 weeks and having some pain in what I'd think was the incision inside. It is usually when I sneeze...almost like the end of healing from the original surgery. Just tender when I sneeze. I've been starting to have contractions, but not regular. Doctor said the contractions are normal. Should I be concerned about this pain? Is it normal?

That sounds like RLP but ask your doctor if you are concerned.

  • i'm also 35 weeks and having the same pain. often i think it's RLP but sometimes i literally feel like my scar area is 'ripping' for lack of a better word. so i think it's potentially scar tissue not stretching very well. ICK. not a good feeling. hang in there.

  • I'm almost 30 weeks, so no contractions yet, but I do feel more protective of my incision when I sneeze.  It also aches down there a little after a long day.  I have had some popping when I have a big sneeze; it feels like it's along the incision line.  I'm going to ask my midwife about it when I see her on Thursday.  It doesn't hurt, just more sensation down there than normal and the popping/ripping was scary (but not painful).  Figure it's just scar tissue along by abdomen.  If it was along the uterus, and there was a ripping feeling or something, I think that would be incredibly painful and it would be pretty noticeable as a huge problem.  Right?  Ugh.
