You're also more likely to have back labour with a sunny side up baby! I've heard it's actually related to the shape of your pelvis. MIL had 3 kids all sunny side up, all with intense back labour.
I delivered my first this way - extra pain and longer pushing as baby doesn't fit as easily through your pelvis (pain is from back labour).
You can get them in a better position though (or at least try to) - try not to slouch (this is usually what can cause this position - as baby settles their back towards the convex part of your body - which while slouching is your back), do some gentle 'cat' poses (or just be on all fours), drape your upper body on an exercise ball in the evenings (while watching TV - that's what I did for my 2nd and this one). Ideally you want baby to be on your left side, back out (face turned towards your belly button or your back).
Re: Sunny side up?
The babys face is facing your front and they will be face up when delivered.
My DS was this way..............plus he had an arm up like superman for added fun! uuggh....
This + OWWWWW!!!
This. I just delivered my baby the same way. OMG it hurt so bad.
