If you had it to do over again what would you study in school? I would keep the degrees I have but get another MFA in Creative Writing (this one in Fiction -- mine is in Poetry) or Master's in Philosophy (I have a Master's split between 19th Century Brit Lit and Philosophy). That way I could teach more things at my college. We only have part-time Philosophy instructors, and they are NOT good from what students say.
What would you like to add to your life? Organization. Our remodel has made our house crazy.
What motivates you to exercise? Seeing how in-shape some older women I know are. I want to look like that when I'm 50-60+!
What is your idea of heaven? Being all alone with a book and a beer.
If you were a criminal master mind, what would be your criminal racket?
Since I'm a writer/editor, I know I could run one of those publishing/poetry contest scams, but I would never reallyi do it.
What musical interments do you wish you could play? I played tenor sax in college. I wish I could play it well.
Who is someone from your past that you are sorry you lost track of? Sherman Alexie (writer).
What is your favorite thing about fall? Crispness in the air. Leaves changing color.

Now, "Oldies"... It used to annoy me when he listened to it, but now I think it's fun.
If you did not need the money what would you do for work? Writing :-) (I'm another one of those authors who teaches college to really pay the bills.)
If you had an extra room in your house what would you use it for? I would just like to organize the library I do have.
What grown-up job did you want to have when you were a child? Ballerina (I have a minor in dance) or horse trainer.

I would get my engineering degree. Or be an EMT.

A new house. Ours is pitiful in every single way.
What motivates you to exercise?
I sign up for triathalons. I have a sprint distance one on the 16th and then a half ironman on July 16.

The baby - he still sleeps in our room - we have no room for him! After that a workout room.
What grown-up job did you want to have when you were a child?
I dreamed of being a doctor for the first 21 years of my life. I changed to engineering at age 21.
If you had it to do over again what would you study in school? I'd get a masters in Public History right after getting my BA, because those days I could have gotten a job in one of our museums. These days, with all of California's budget problems, those jobs aren't easy to come by.
What would you like to add to your life? Enough extra money to pay off my husband's debt, do the house renovations we want to do, and set some aside for our son's future.
What motivates you to exercise? Being a type 2 diabetic and wanting to be as healthy as possible so that I can see our son grow up.
What is your idea of heaven? Living a (good) life in our native country, which is a tropical island, in a house by the sea!

I could never be a criminal mastermind because I'm waaay too naive and transparent, lol!

What grown-up job did you want to have when you were a child? An archaeologist -- I was a huge fan of Raiders of the Lost Ark and dreamed of going to these exotic places on archaeological expeditions.
