I think having a newborn is soooo much easier than having a mobile baby. Nothing stops him anymore, not even being way overtired. He doesn't want to miss a thing now! It is way more exhausting than a newborn.

I really don't like people who ask for your advice and then talk sh!t about it. My GF did this when she was down here. Wanted to k ow how to put some more disapline in to her DD's world and when I helped her and gave her suggestions she stuck he nose up in the air and said that won't work. I guess that's why my 9 month old goes to sleep without any problem and her 18 month old takes an hour and a half with her laying in bed with her to fall asleep. But whatever.....

I think people who put their baby in the crib with a bottle are lazy and irresponsible. I have a few family members who actually side eyed me because I don't do it. When I tell them the reasons why I don't(not why you shouldn't, I don't want to come off judgy) they say I'm mean and strict! Well aholes, when my baby doesn't get bottle rot and yours does, guess who the big ol meanie is?!?
I think it was so much easier when G just got a bottle this whole feeding and finger foods thing is a real pain esp on the the go.
This exactly!! I do NOT understand why people are so excited to start cereal so early. It's SOOOOOO much easier to just BF or make a bottle. Meal planning is for the birds!
My UO: I get so frustrated with the stupid FTM questions. I'm a FTM and I'm so sick of the "My kid pooped twice instead of once today, does he have cancer?" Type questions (ok, that's a little exaggerated, but you know what I mean). I think sometimes once we become moms our brains and common sense go out the window. (This is not directed at anyone specifically, and more to some of my IRL friends).

A newborn was somewhat easier in town/when going places. But I do not miss not knowing what was wrong with my colic baby, now his whines are more readable. Nope, I am not a newborn fan.
I don't like a baby in only a onsie / shirt. They are only half dressed. Why even go for half effort if you are still going to be lazy. Might as well just leave them in their pjs (this is what I do when lazy) or let them run around in a diaper. This does not apply to baby legs. I do think of babylegs as pants and they look soo cute with coordinating cloth diapers

:::raises hand::: That's me! I did this with my son, and also do it with my daughter. Both my kids could hold their own bottle by 5 months old and didn't want me to hold it anymore, so I let them do the work.

But I'm sure when they are done you take the bottle away and keep an eye on them? The same family member who gave me a hard time about not doing it also has three out four kids with bottle rot. Sucking on a bottle all night long is not good.

Actually-- when they are done with their bottles, they throw them in the corner of the crib, and go to sleep. I never had to worry about them holding it in their mouth. It's weird both my kids did the exact same thing, but I am glad. I would NOT want bottle rot!

My cousin is also the type of person who propped the bottles up from birth. I've never seen her feed her kids herself once. I can see having to do it in a pinch, but would it really kill her to feed her kid once in awhile??? But sit there and call me a mean mom.....this totally turning into a rant sorry ee, she just bugs me!

Sigh, I never fare well in these UO threads....haha. (Uh, just look at my siggy.) Now, I won't take LO out in just a onsie, but he often runs around the house and sometimes daycare with no pants. He's not a fan of pants and his legs are waaaaaaaaay too fat for baby legs.

Don't worry, Max is still a cutie pie. Maybe stock up on some shorts rompers? (I think of them like dresses for boys-easy summer one piece, and in the winter they can still act as a shirt with pants thrown over them-granted it makes the butt a little bigger)
I'm at the park and DD is playing in the sand area with a friend. There are a ton of 3 and 4 year olds. About half of the parents are hovering. The parents who hover the most have the kids who are the biggest a$$holes. I'd like to go over there and tell the parents to stop digging in the sand and stand back so their kids can learn some social skills!
I put G in just a Onsie all the the time...I would not want to lay around in shorts all day. Plus when it is super hot. Now if we are going somewhere I do put shorts on him 98% of the time. But kid never wears shoes eaither!
I don't like country music. I've tried to like it, but it just bugs me for some unknown reason!
I love country music and I shun anyone who doesn't. Consider yourself shuned! Hehe just joking. (on the shunning not on the country music)
I'm not a fan of today's country but I know every word to every Patsy Cline song:)
I 'fall to pieces' reading this! Love me some Patsy! Thank you Jessica Lang for introducing me to her in the movie Sweet Dreams when I was 10yrs old.
Oh, I absolutely positively LOVE me some Patsy Cline!!! My grandmother used to sing me all of her songs with this old school karaoke machine when we were kids. I guess I meant that I dislike modern or current pop country music.

I am not a fan of it either. DS and I dance around the house to some good oldies like Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers, Alabama, Eddie Rabbit....old school country. I want him to know what REAL country music sounds like.

I love it all. A funny story about country music trivia. When I was working in the jail I had an inmate humming (of all things) Folsom Prision Blues. I stepped in and sang the next line and he was all shocked that I knew the words. I told him that this was the music I grew up on and he spent the rest of the trying to stump me on old country. He couldn't do it. I got all te songs he threw at me:)

Re: UO Tuesday!
I don't like to read books for entertainment purposes. I only open a book if I absolutely have to.
100% agree with this!!!!!!
