Shouldn't my giant breast size increase account for some of my weight gain???

My doctors have never been big on asking questions or giving us info.  We will not be going back to them for the next baby.  They love to lecture me on my weight gain Super Angry, but I just realized that they have never once asked about my breast increase, or mentioned it.  I was a 34 B, and now I am a 36 DD!  Shouldn't the huge increase in my size account for some of this weight??  I know a lot of women don't get bigger at all, or only go up a cup size or so.  I'm excited to bring this up at my appt. next Thursday.  Big Smile

    i think so....i had a breast reduction in 2001, and the doc removed 2.5 pounds from each breast.  now by boobs are bigger than they were pre-surgery, so i know they account for at least five pounds of my total weight gain.  :)  this is a very comforting thought!

    My Pregnancy Week by Week book says the average woman gets about 2 lbs of extra boobies!!!

    So if the average is 2-5 lbs, and I feel like my increase is above average, then maybe it's 5-10 lbs?  I'm being hopeful here.  Anything to tell my doctors to get them to leave me alone.  Tongue Tied

    lol, if my doctors kept getting onto me about weight gain, i would consider switching.  that would just upset me way too much.

    I would say 5lbs would be about max, but that still counts for some of the weight for sure. Why the hell are they on you so much about it anyway? Are they really worried for the baby or just being jerks. I would be pissed if my doctor acted like that. She never brings up weight and I am always asking if I am on track.

    I had two big weight gains of 9 lbs in a month each time.  Both times the doctor said it was unhealthy and I had to watch it.  I only gained 3 lbs last time like he told me to, but his partner made a point of saying "Let's not do more than 5 lbs for the rest of the pregnancy" at my last appt.  It was my 32 week appt!  She only wants me to gain 5 more lbs in 8 weeks?!?  The baby has to gain that much; how am I only going to gain that much??  I don't know why they are so obsessed.  I started out at about 135 lbs and 5'7".  I have gained about 33 lbs so far at 33 weeks.  WTF is their deal?  Last time he told me that the baby would be too big for me to push out and I wouldn't be able to get back into shape.  *sigh*
