Im a STM and i have been dilated to 3cm since 35 weeks, not sure what i am now but i find out thursday. The only thing my doctor said about it was that i would be that much farther along once labor does start and it might go alot quicker.
I know that dilation is not any indication of when labor might start, my question is more of how fast you did progress once your labor did start?
im so worried that by the time my contractions get 5 minutes apart that i will be so far along there will be not time for the epidural. I had a really hard labor with DS and want another epidural. ![]()
Re: For those that dilated early......
I was 4cm and 80% when I went in to be induced the 29th. Pitocin was started shortly after 7, and he was born at 13:20. It took 4.5 hours to get to 7, and 1 hour after that I was complete. He was born about 30 minutes later, with 4 pushes.
Compared to my first labor of 30+ hours, 6 was freaking awesome!!!
Oh, and I wanted a natural birth. I gave in to the epidural when I was at 7-8cm.
